I just added some new photos to Flickr. I have been looking at Polymer Clay Daily and saw Tish Collins website tishcollins.com and was very impressed by her use of her artwork in with her polymer clay work. I thought …….DUH….. why don’t I do that? So, here are some examples of what I did. I added some of my digital art as a transfer to the clay.

I have been invited to exhibit my polymer clay jewelry at the synergy 2 conference in Feb. It is the second huge polymer clay conference held in Baltimore at the end of February. I am also attending the conference. This is such an incredible opportunity for me. I will get to meet most of the artists I admire and learn from them. I am so excited that I can’t sit still.
Here is the piece I will be exhibiting.
It is constructed from copper wire and polymer clay. I love to do faces, so when I sculpted this one it reminded me of a lonely woman yearning for her mate to return. You can see the entire piece here http://www.flickr.com/photos/polypam/4075929926/

Loretta Lam, one of my favorite polymer clay artists gave me a shout out on Polymer clay daily yesterday.
I have been featured there now 4 times. It is fantastic to be noticed among all the incredible talent in the polymer clay world.

This piece I made in memory of my mom was featured in an Etsy treasury.
here is the link http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=56675
and here is the piece.

- Sanctuary
This was made for a monthly challenge for the PCAGOE
the polymer clay artist guild of Etsy last year.
The piece is made of polymer clay, silver wire and a digital piece I inserted in the middle with liquid clay.
It got a little cloudy, but you can just see the tiny house beyond the trees.

my page
This is the third time I have been published. ‘Polymer Clay Mixed Media Jewlery’ is a new book by Shirley Rufener. It is full of great techniques for using polymer clay and mixed media.
I am so honored to be included with such artists as Kathleen Dustin, Christi Freisen and Jeff Dever.
This piece is from scrap clay, which I love to use. I put cool colors thru the pasta machine and this interesting background came out. I then cut an opening and inserted a small digital piece I created. I then sealed the image with liquid polymer clay and added a border.

dragon fly dream
I was surfing the web today and saw some wonderful digital art on Etsy.
So, I went to photoshop and put together this new art piece. The background is my new painting “new day dawning”. I included an eye I drew and a scuplted clay face of mine, along with some other photos. I love the way the face came thru. I like it when my work looks very mystical.
I posted it for sale on my Etsy page.

steam punk cyber dude
I have some friends that are into steam punk (www.remnantsofolde.wordpress.com). It seems to be somewhat popular now, so I thought my hand sculpted polymer clay faces would look really cool in cyber punk. An artist I love, Christy Freissen http://www.cforiginals.net/steampunk.html has some new steam punk art that is really cool. I got the clock parts from her website.
I have the idea to do some more with small TV like screens in the head to show photos of dreams. More to come.
